Azita Ghanizada

Azita was born in Kabul in Afghanistan. She is an Afghan American who lives in the United States. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US where they were granted asylum. She was raised by her two sisters living in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada began her career on TV by playing in numerous National Commercials. Ghanizada starred as Chiara in the Laura Neri's movie A Kiss on the Nose (2003). To commemorate the performance, she received a nomination at the Cannes Film Festival for the Best Actress Award. The actress has also appeared on television shows such as How I Met Your Mother and Entourage. Veronica Mars, The Wedding Bells NuMB3RS Bones Psych as well as Castle. Recent roles included the sci-fi action movie Blood Shot (2009) and the comedies that are independent You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in the General Hospital Prime-Time spinoff General Hospital. She played Dr. Saira Bhata, an specialist in holistic health on Night Shift's second season.
